Article about teenagers and sleep problems Sleep disorders are more common and increasing among young people. This is demonstrated by a survey by Borge Sivertsen, published in the Journal of Sleep Research, which shows that 34 percent of female students and 22 percent of males suffer from insomnia and, therefore, do not reach the nine hours of satisfactory sleep to keep healthy their bodies. These sleep disorders are also caused by the constant use of technological devices, such as smartphones and tablets, before going to sleep which, by emitting a very strong light against our eyes, disturb our sleep and make it difficult for us to fall asleep. Solutions that could help us defeat insomnia and various sleep disorders would certainly be the non-use of technological devices before going to sleep and avoiding binges at dinner.
