Learning Activities for Modules 1 and 2 for Reading and Writing
Written Work #1
Read with an in-depth understanding of the contents found in the module provided. To assess what you have
read, you are tasked to answer the questions found in selected sections of the module. Your answers must
be written in 1 whole sheet of yellow paper. Moreover, you are to provide not only the letters but also
the corresponding words that best resonate the question or condition in each item. The selected sections
of the module are as follows:
1. What I Know (Task 1: Multiple Choice Exam).
2. Assessment (Task 3: Multiple Choice)
Performance Task #1
You have already learned from the module that there are three (3) stages in the reading process:(1) prereading, (2) while-reading, and (3) post-reading. There are a variety of complex cognitive skills enshrined
in each of these stages Hence, the end-goal of this activity will help you crystallize these skills by
writing a reflection paper about the Poem provided herewith. You are to write your reflection in a separate
long bond-paper, and it must be creatively done. The following questions will be your guide in writing
your reflection paper:
1. What is the poem all about?
2. How did the poem describe the reality of life and death?
3. How would you relate the context of our time, most especially amid this unprecedented period of
the pandemic to what the author of the Poem is trying to convey?
Specific instructions:
1. Creatively done
2. At least 3 paragraphs (Intro, Body, and the Conclusion)
3. Neat and clearly written.
