As what the analysts have accumulated throughout the whole research process, there is no doubt that the new mode of learning which is the online learning, has its own advantages and disadvantages. Online class helps the students to thrive harder than they usually do in traditional way of learning, however, it was observed that they tend to lack motivation and communication when it comes to asking concerns or having interactions virtually, unlike in face-to-face class where they can raise their concerns freely. The absence of social interaction brought a change in their lives not only as a person, but as a student as well. It is the learning environment that changes the motivation of a student towards making exceptional tasks. In some instances, students seem to enjoy the new environment and new experience in online class where they can handle their own time in accordance to their will to do the given task and they exert more effort than the usual in face-to-face classes while others seem to have a hard time coping up with the shortcomings of the online learning. The positive effects, which are beneficial on a students' academic performance and actions support this decision, its influence on their focus and motivation is perceived to as not effective. This study will give the students an insight into whether they will continue to take online learning and what factors will affect their persistence and retention in these classes. It would also help the future analysts determine the effects of using online learning as the medium for the new normal and it is critical to start having research about the students' online learning practice and experiences so that they can demonstrate successful online activities, student perceptions of online learning, and student satisfaction in the online environment which will also be beneficial for the future learners. First, it was stated that the respondent had a hard time focusing in online class because of the various distractions that can be heard through their home and that the environment in school is more educational than being at home. The lack of communication also brought a negative impact in the respondent’s self-esteem because of the new learning’s hardship in raising up concerns virtually and there were also instances where the internet connection is unstable. However, on the other hand, it was also observed that online class gave the respondent a good impact in terms of exerting more effort in doing the given tasks to maintain the output’s quality, unlike in school where an honor student can strive to attain my grades. Also, time management contributed a lot in the respondent’s coping up in the online class, aside from seeking companion with family and friends. This study will give the students an insight into whether they will continue to take online learning and what factors will affect their persistence and retention in these classes.
