IMPORTANT NOTE. PLEASE READ! This next section deals with body paragraphs and
helps you develop your sub-claims. You may have anywhere from 3-6 sub-claims. You
may also need to break some sub-claims into more than one paragraph. Therefore, even
though this says “Body Paragraph,” it is really just one of the main points you will make
in your paper and support with evidence. It is one of the big ideas of your paper. If you
end up having to break it up into more than one paragraph, each paragraph still needs a
Topic Sentence and a Clincher/Transition into the next paragraph.
