During the assessment period, Upper Shell day pupils are only required to attend School for assessments. If their first assessment starts after 9.00am day pupils may come into School later. If an assessment is being sat in the morning, followed by an afternoon assessment, all pupils must remain at school and revise. Revision should be up House or up Library, if permitted. Upper Shell day pupils should leave school once they are finished for the day. • There is no Abbey, LP or Assembly for Upper Shell pupils during the week. • Station attendance (where a student is free) is optional during the assessment period. • Pupils must register on arrival and attend Lunch as normal when in school. • When not sitting assessments boarders must work up House or in the Library, if permitted. • For exams up School or in Markham please assemble in Yard at the bottom of the School steps ready to be called for each assessment 15 mins (at the latest) before the start time. Those with exams in Bentham should gather in Ashburnham Garden. For the Lecture Room please wait outside the entrance to Ashburnham House to be brought up the stairs. • Mobile phones are not to be brought into the assessment room under any circumstances. No watches, calculator lids, spectacles cases, mathematical instrument tins are permitted. Pencil cases and water bottles (no labels) must be clearly transparent. • Any communication or attempt to copy others’ work will be considered as malpractice. • Nobody can leave an assessment before the finishing time. • Those with permission to use a word processor will be in either the Markham Room or as directed.
