struggled
to stay
buttoned all
day.
The dark shadows in the alley
way told me to turn around and
run!
The tall
grass
danced in
the breeze
in the yard
next door.

opened my
dryer door, it

socks onto
the floor.

map, the big red “X” on it
gave away the secret hiding
place.
The large rock refused to
budge.
The jack-o-lantern smiled at me
from the top of the steps.
