1.1 Problem
Definition
The Hatirjheel Area Integrated Development Project
added some facilities.
Such, including a. Theatre, b. laser-show, c. Waterbus
and water-taxi service, d. Fast food shops and
restaurants e. Bus rides.
So, the city dwellers can spend quality of time there. Since the
partial launching of the project on January 2, 2013.
1.1 Problem
Definition
The site has drawn huge visitors as the city dwellers have little
scope to pass their leisure time in an open space.
In occasion there are huge crowed are attendant on this sites.
This studies aims to find that how hatirjheel can affect the
visitors minds for recreation.
The Objectives of this papers are categorized into two parts such;
General Objectives:
 To Find out the visit nature based recreation site in the Dhaka City for
recreation purpose.
 To study the visitors spending hours (recreational Purpose).
 To assess what are the main Recreational activities.
1.2 Objectives
Specific Objectives:
 To determined the quality of recreational benefits at Hatirjheel.
 To assess the Economic value of Hatirjheel.
 To identified the visitor’s recreational purposes.
 To estimate the attribute of the Hatirjheel recreational.
 To focus on the sources of Financial methods.
 To estimate the various types of entry fees.

the study
Motivation-The main reason of this study is for
familiar with the practical knowledge.
Significant-This study is to finding out what is
Economic value of Hatirjheel site. This site is being a
very well connected area in the city.
 Various entry fees.
 Purposes of visits the Hatirjheel. Such Business, Other,
Recreation , Visiting friends/relatives.

 Visitors are come to the site by By public Bus, By private car,
By Bicycle, By foot , By taxi , By Motorcycle , By tour Bus ,
Others.
 What types of recreational and other improvements would like
to see here, such are Bird butterfly watching sites, Boat riding
are, Food services, Improved play grounds, More items at
Children's Park, Others, Photography, Relaxation are, Road
conditions, Sight seeing, Walking tracks/Exercising, Waste
disposal,
 The financial methods are Charge a vehicle parking fee, Charge
an entry fee, Other, private donations, Through the govt.
budget.

 Hatirjheel with its spacious roads, beautifully lit
bridges and neat walkways centering picturesque
water body, seems to be what the city dwellers
used to envisage when they thought of a modern

Conclusion
Implications
 Hatirjheel Place Enhanced financial allocation from
the government is necessary for appropriate
maintenance of the places.
 The security system should be strengthened to
restrain smuggling out of antiques form the existing
Hatirjheel project.
