Name: DEEP ANANDBHAI PATEL Student ID: 301154986 Course: GNED 129 To properly execute the “A watched pot never boils” experiment, we will need 3 basic and major requirements namely; water, a pot, and a stove. To begin with, first add 2 cups of water to our pot and place it on the stove and start the stop clock. Now here the assumption is that the water doesn’t have any major impurities and the pot is placed on medium heat. One can either place the pot on high or low heat. The water slowly starts to boil and takes approximately 5 mins to come to a full boil. During that time, as it comes to a boil, you can see little bubbles forming at the bottom of the pot. At this point, I could hear the sizzling sounds coming out of the pot and see hot steam rise up. Of course, the whole process was aroma less since water has no test nor smell. But if you got close enough to the pot you could actually feel the heat radiating from the steam. If allowed the water to boil more, the water starts boiling more aggressively with large bubbles forming and the sizzling sound increases.
