I Executive summary
The COVID-19 Pandemic has caused a major delay in learning to most of the students. People are not
allowed to go out for their safety. Students are subjected to different Learning delivery modes like
modular, or Online classes.
The Call And Coach (CAC) Program aims to help the learners have an additional venue to showcase their
Oral Communication Skills and learning through phone call which will be initiated by the Teacher who
will assess the students. Nowadays, this has been the problem of both the teachers and the students.
We cannot measure an oral skill through a written activity like modules and handouts for the students.
Conducting online classes is a good option, however, due to financial crisis, poor and unavailability of
internet connectivity to some areas, it has been observed that most of the students fail to join online
classes.
CAC Program aims to build a bridge between the Teacher and the Learner amidst this global pandemic.
This will make the delivery of the educational service more responsive, efficient and effective
II Significant Accomplishment/s in delivering Quality Instruction through Call And Coach (CAC) Program
We cannot deny that schools, teachers and specially the students are affected by the Covid-19
Pandemic. As a matter of fact , from face to face classroom setup that we got used to, we now adapt to
either Online Synchronous or Offline asynchronous learning.
The CAC Program is good tool that the teacher can use in gauging not just the student’s Oral
communication skills but also their understanding of the lesson. This can be a good partner of modules,
Radio Based Instruction (RBI) and other learning materials which are given to the students.
The CAC Program is conducted via phone call through our local phone providers like Globe, Smart, TM,
TNT, Sun Cellular and many others. It will be observed that students are more RESPONSIVE since they
know that it is expected that they will talk or verbally respond to the teacher, by doing so, a higher
learning outcome is achieved. This shall also make the teacher more EFFICIENT in getting real time
feedbacks or assessment results from the students.
