Tips on Printing
These posters were designed on 8.5x11” size paper. You can, however, use your printer settings to
shrink or enlarge them down to a size that fits your needs.
Here are some trouble shooting ideas, should you need them:
Printing in color? How to avoid the dreaded “black box”:
If you are printing in color, make sure to follow the steps to avoid your color graphics printing as a
“black box”. When the black box issue happens with TpT color resources, most of the time it is not the
resource that has an issue, it is how it is being printed. Follow these tips:
•
Do not print off an iPad.
•
Make sure you are using the most recent version of Adobe Reader (it is free).
•
Don’t print from the “preview” view. After you have downloaded the resource, open it as a PDF in
Adobe and print from there.
•
When printing select “Advanced” à “Print as Image”.
•
On a Mac you may have to select the file and hit “command” to force it to open in Adobe Reader.
