CHAPTER 4
PRESENTATION , ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA
This chapter primarily deals with the analysis of data , interpretation and
presentation of data gathered from questionnaire retrieved from the
respondents.
The data gathered are presented the following sequential order of the specific
question formulated earlier in chapter .
1. What are the effects of water shortage in Brgy.Bagong Silang Santa Cruz
Marinduque?
2. How do the residence of Brgy. Bagong Silang reacts on this kind of situation?
3. What are the possible solution to prevent water shortage ?

The table 1 shows the effect of water shortage.
For item 1 affect the daily task in the house . Analysis of data shows that
35 answered very agree 11 agree ,3 disagree and 1 strongly disagree . With a
weighted mean of 1.4 which is placed on the ( 6th) rank.
For item number 2 water supply is not favourable. Analysis of data shows
that 23 answered very agree ,21 agree ,6 disagree ,and 0 for strongly disagree .
With a weighted mean of 1.66 which is placed on the (3rd) rank with an
interpretation as very agree.
For item number (3) over use of water .Analysis of data shows that 15
answered very agree , 22 agree , 9 disagree and 4 strongly disagree with a
weighted mean of 2.04 .With the rank of (1st ) with an interpretation as agree.
For item number4 water wastage . Analysis of data shows that 14
answered very agree ,25 agree,9 disagree and 2 strongly disagree with a
weighted mean of 1.98 . With the rank of ( 2nd) with an interpretation as agree .
For item number 5 sanitations problems . Analysis of data shows that 30
answered very agree . 15 agree ,4 disagree and 1 strongly disagree with a
weighted mean of 1.52 .With the rank of (4.5) with an interpretation as very
agree.
For item number (6) water supply is limitted . Analysis of data shows that
30 answered very agree , 16 agree ,2 disagree and 2 strongly disagree with a
weighted mean of 1.52.With the rank of (4.5) with an interpretation as very
agree.

Based on table number 2 reacts on this kind of situation.For item number 1
Getting mad answered 26 are very agree, 11 are often ,13 sometimes and 0
never.It is being ranked as( 4th ) with the total of 1.74 weighted mean
For item number 2 Irritation answered 30 , 6 often ,13 sometimes and 1
never.It is being ranked as( 5th ) with the total of 1.7 weighted mean.
Regarding item number 3 which is Disturbances 30 answered very often, 9
often , 10 sometimes and 1 never. It is being ranked of(6th ) with the total of 1.64
weighted mean.
For item number 4 Fetching water to the neighbourhood 21 answered
very often,13 often , 11 sometimes and 5 never. It is being ranked of (3rd ) with
the total of 2 weighted mean .
For item number 5 Loss sanitation and hygiene 11 answered very often ,22
often , 15 sometimes and 1 never. It is being ranked of 2 with the total of 2.08
weighted mean.
For item number 6 Not being able to wash the clothes 11 answered very often ,
16 often , 20 sometimes and 3 never. It is being ranked of 1 with the total of 2.3
weighted mean.

For item item number 1 Higher officials prioritize this problem 38 answered very
much concerned ,8 concerned , 2 less concerned and 1 no concerned at all .It is
ranked as (6.5th ) with the total of 1.3 weighted mean .
For item number 2 Conserve water 36 answered very much concerned , 11
concerned , 2 less concerned and 1 no concerned at all .It is ranked as (3rd ) with
the total of 1.36 weighted mean.
For item number 3 Monitor water pipes 37 answered very much
concerned ,9 concerned , 4% less concerned and 0 no concerned at all .It is
ranked as (4.5th ) with the total of 4.5 weighted mean .
For item number 4 Change water leakages 37 answered very much
concerned , 9 concerned , 4 less concerned and 0 no concerned at all .It is
ranked as (4.5th ) with the total of 1.34 weighted mean .
For item number 5 Re-change water leakages 36 answered very much
concerned , 11 concerned , 1 less concerned and 1 no concerned at all . It is
ranked as (6. 5th ) with the total of 1.3 weighted mean.
For item number 6 Produce a life saver bottles 26 answered very much
concerned , 20 concerned 4 less concerned and 0 for no concerned at all .It is
ranked as (1st ) with the total of 1.56 weighted mean .
For item number 7 Every Brgy. Produce water tank 30 answered very much
concerned ,17 concerned ,2 less concerned and 1 no concerned at all . It is
ranked as the (2nd ) with the total of 1.48 weighted mean .
Chapter 5
Summary and Findings Conclusion and Recommendation
This chapter primarily present the summary of findings conclusion and
recommendation based on the respondent made by the researcher . This
particular study primarily aimed to investigate the “The Cause of Water Shortage
in Brgy . Bagong Silang Santa Cruz Marinduque”.
Specifically the study aimed to answer the following questions.
1 . What are the effects of water shortage in Brgy Bagong Silang Santa cruz
Marinduque ?
2 .How do the residence of Brgy Bagong Silang reacts on this kind of
situation ?
3 . What are the possible solution to prevent water shortage in Brgy Bagong
Silang ?
The respondents are 25 local and 25 non local selected residents in Brgy
Bagong Silang .
The research instruments is the descriptive survey method were the
researcher used questionnaire in gathering data .
The researcher locale is at Santa Cruz Institute (Marinduque) INC located at
Barangay Banahaw Santa Cruz Marinduque .
The statistical treatment utilized the weighted mean , and ranking method
to express the result from gather data.
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
Based on presentation , analysis , and interpretation of data in
chapter 4.
Based in the data analysis , the evident in the interpretation is the
majority of the respondents are 35 out of 50 respondents who are strongly
affected of water shortage to their daily task in the house in Brgy Bagong
Silang. The number one most reactions of the residents in Brgy Bagong
Silang when water shortage come is irritation .And the two possible
solution to prevent water shortage are higher officials should prioritize this
problem and always monitor water pipes .
CONCLUSION
Based on the relevant findings , it is therefore
The effects of water shortage in Brgy. Bagong Silang Santa Cruz
Marinduque are the shortage of water affect the daily task in the house, The time
of water supply is not favourable, over use of water ,water wastage, sanitation
problems and the water supply is limited .
The reactions of the residents in Brgy Bagong Silang are getting mad,
irritation, disturbances ,fetching water to the neighbourhood , loss sanitation ,
and not being able to wash the clothes.
And the possible solution to prevent water shortage in Brgy Bagong Silang
follows to the higher officials should prioritize this problem ,conserve water
,monitor water pipes ,change water leakages , re-change old and rusty water
pipes,produce a life saver bottles and every brgy produce water tank.
RECOMMENDATIONS
In view of the findings and conclusions the researcher formulated the
following recommendations:
FOR THE RESIDENTS- Don’t waste water because water is the most
important thing in our lives.
