LAGOS CITY RUN LAGOS CITY RUN is a runner game with a main character, a lagosian wearing a White Native and a Blue Native Cap running around the city of Lagos in traffic with a police officer chasing solidly behind him. The game is an endless runner game with elements similar to that of subway surfer where the player runs along the streets of a particular town avoiding obstacles while picking up gems along the way. The more coins you pick in the game more gems you have. You also have the option of picking cool power ups in the game that make you carry out cool actions STORY 1 THEME (STAY INDOORS) Type: Comic Book Issue: #1 Synopsis Baba Sala is a middle aged conservative Lagosian of Yorba descent who catches fishes for a living but is also a secret runner belonging to a secret agency called the 'League of Runners' in Lagos. The story meets him in the period of the global pandemic and he is frustrated by staying indoors. Opportunity however springs up for him to run again when the leader of the secret agency calls him and another member of the agency Kemi and assigns a secret mission to them to retrieve the vaccine from a health center iin ikorodu for the on-going pandemic. Characters 1. Baba Sala - Main Runner (White Native and Blue Native Cap) 2. Officer Muku - The pot bellied officer who works along Badagry Express Way, the main route (Baba Sala follows) 3. Kemi - Woman runner (member league of runners) 4. News caster on Tv SCENE 1 DAY 1 SET: This scene is set in Baba Sala's house located in a downtown area around the suburbs of Badagry close to the fine coastal beaches laced with sand characterized with unpainted concrete block buildings with aluminium zincs, faded walls, dull looking floor tiles and small rooms facing each other similar to the building materials and structure of houses built in the 60's. The room has only 2 furnitures, 1 big wooden king size chair made in the size of a king which baba sala specially ordered as he said had a dream that he was a king and he is using the chair to practice how he will sit when he is made king. The other furniture is a long re patched sofa gifted to baba sala by his distant relatives when they came visting Nigeria years back. There is a small ox ceiling fan rolling slowly just above baba sala's head as he sits on the chair and watches the news on his black and white set with a chewing stick in his hand. background sounds proceed from the tv set.......... Newscaster: The death toll of the current pandemic corona virus has risen to 15, citizens are advised to stay indoors and quarantine themselves. Call comes in on Baba Sala and Kemi's line (ringing vibrating tone grrrrrr grrrrrr grrrrr grrrrrrr) (show phone screens) Kemi and Baba Sala: (Exclaim) Haaa the God Father! God Father: Your assignment is simple, run to the health center in ikorodu and retrieve the vaccine from the secret agent waiting to give it to you and avoid being caught Kemi: Ok Boss God Father:To protect yourself from the virus while running wear a face mask, keep a hand sanitizer with you and wear hand gloves. Kemi: Yes Boss Baba Sala: Yes our Elder, we will do as you say SCENE 2 DAY 2 SET: Baba Sala's bedroom with the wooden window and the sound of the overgrown plantain tree branch whistling in and out of the tip of his window as the breeze blows while a song comes out of his palito radio on top of the fridge in his bed room. Baba Sala is dressing up wearing his protective gear as the song ' Egungun be careful" plays in the background in his bedroom. Baba Sala puts on his face mask , his gloves and stretches out his hand sanitizer Baba Sala: everything dun set (he thinks to himself), make i dey go Baba Sala begins his run from his house in Badagry running on the express way of badagry and through the streets of lagos The streets are mostly empty with people obeying the stay at home orders but a few cars move and he dulges the obstacles. Baba Sala: See as lagos street empty sha! Me i like this one oh, running for dey sweet oh. 5 minutes later. A trailer speeds past coming in the direction of Baba Sala. Baba Sala: moves swiftly to the left (vooom) Baba Sala: Olorun thank you oh, see as i dulge that trailer just now. Officer Muku: Hey You, you dat! what are you doing in the constituion of the street? Baba Sala: (in his mind hee this officer dun come again o) Officer Muku: I say hey you, who dat! what are you doing in the constitution of the street. Baba Sala did not answer and kept running as officer Muku pursued swiftly behind Baba Sala looks back as he runs to see if officer Muku is still chasing 15 minutes later Officer Muku: Shey i never catch you now ni! Where you dey run go? Shey you no hear say government say stay indoors to protect yorself and others Baba Sala: E ma binu, joooor, if i no run this run i fit die and people fit die Offcier Muku: wetin you mean? Baba Sala: I mean say i dey secret mission Officer Muku: Ehen, tell me. a sabi keep secret (lol) Baba Sala: Even God know say if i tell you e no be secret again, you wen your mouth dey leak Officer Muku: You say What? Baba Sala: Errm Sorry i say your mouth dey think. Abeg let me go i promise to bring small of the thing wen i dey go collect after i get am Officer Muku: Ehen!!!??? Baba Sala: Yes! POSSIBLE ACCOMPANYING GAME MODIFICATION ( Create a Time trial mode ) A. Play the Lagos City Vaccine Run for a limited time, unlock the vaccine run ( a time trial with your favorite runner carrying an injection in their hand while avoiding obstacles) to a final destination in lagos where they drop the vaccines and save the people). Dropping the vaccine at 1 destination unlocks a new destination until all destinations are complete EXISTING GAME PLAY B. You are a lagos runner under the league of runners, you have been assigned to reach Badagry in 90 coins and collect at least 200 coins in the process. Arriving the destination in time and with the coins will help you help the people of Badagry. Race around lagos in 90 seconds and get to areas in lagos hit by the pandemic gaining at least 200 coins while avoiding obstacles and getting caught in the process.
