Environment • • • • • • General Ledger Closing SAP ERP SAP ERP Central Component SAP enhancement package for SAP ERP SAP enhancement package for SAP ERP, version for SAP HANA Reproducing the Issue Run balance carry forward transaction FAGLGVTR and check opening balance in FS10N. Cause Transaction F.16 / GVTR and FAGLGVTR are processing the balance carry forward in different total tables: • transaction F.16 updates the total table GLT0 and • transaction FAGLGVTR updates the total table of new G/L, which is usually FAGLFLEXT. GLT0 figures are displayed in transaction FS10N, FAGLFLEXT figures are shown in FAGLB03. Resolution If new G/L is active, transaction FAGLGVTR should be used to perform the balance carry forward in new G/L ledger(s). If the update of table GLT0 is activated in parallel (in table FAGL_ACTIVEC), transaction F.16 should be performed as well, to carry forward balances in GLT0.
