OPENING PRAYER The opening prayer was said by Alfred Shakwale who in his prayer asked for God’s guidance and protection during the deliberations of the meeting. OPENING REMARKS FROM THE CHAIRPERSON The Chairperson Mr. Mulenga Kupa Bernard thanked the members present for making an effort to turn up for the meeting. He further thanked the Government for making it possible allowing organizations, cooperatives and youth clubs to access empowerment fund and equipments. He further encouraged the members present to participate fully during the meeting and he officially declared the meeting open. MAIN BUSINESS The chairperson reminded the members present that the main business of the meeting was to elect members to fill the vacancy in our organization, as we know our vice Secretary Mr Chitamuka Joel left the organization and our treasurer who died recently in Lusaka when she went for hospitalization. During the deliberations the group elected Mr. Kanyanta as the vice secretary taking over from Mr. Chitamuka Joel and Mr. Alfred Shakwale as the new treasurer taking over from Martha mwaba who died recently in Lusaka. The organization went ahead and to elect one committee member Mr. Siame and the all members agreed that those elected must start working now to carry out organization agenda. ELECTIONS S/O NAME 1 Mr. KANYANTA 2 Mr. SIAME POSITION VICE SECRETARY COMMITTEE MEMBER SIGNATURE The chairperson told the members that it’s time to take advantages of the various empowerment programmes that the New Don Administration is bringing to young people with the ministry of youth, sport and child development, so members agreed that we should start preparing proposals to submit them to the ministry so that we can be considered. A. O. B The newly elected vice secretary wanted to know how the program with firelight foundations stands as at now. The chairperson in his response replied that we are still waiting from them. They told us that they will communicate through the email. The secretary Mr. Kapota told the members that IPAS an organization based in Mansa also want to engage our organization to run 12 radio programmes at Radio Bangwela on Gender Based Violence. CLOSING REMARKS The chairperson thanked fellow members for the contributions that were made during the deliberation of the meeting. He noted that the group need to work extra hard in order to fulfill the group vision. He thanked the newly elected members for what all members voted for them and believing in them that they can deliver for the organization. He finally declared the meeting closed at around 12:00hrs.
