EDITING:

REVISION:
•Re-viewing/Re-seeing a text
•Dealing with the paper as a whole, considering strengths and
weaknesses, arguments, focus and organization, support, and
voice, as well as mechanical issues.
•Clarifying and focusing the writer's arguments by defining
terms, making concessions and counter-arguments, and using
evidence. This may involve moving or removing entire
paragraphs, extending or narrowing ideas, rewriting vague or
confusing text, and adding to existing paragraphs

Critics of Barbie dolls argue that the figurines promote materialism and
unrealistic body proportions. Barbie dolls have undergone a lot of changes
since they were first introduced. Created in 1959. It was not until 1980 that
a Black barbie doll came out. Barbies eyes did not look straight forward until
1971. Before that, they always looked to the side. Barbie dolls helped
promote feminism in America. Supporters of barbie dolls say that Barbies
helped combat the typical gender stereotypes of the ‘50s. barbie has a lot of
different careers: pilot, astronaut, doctor, Olympic athlete and more. Barbie
is 11-inches tall. I hated Barbie dolls as a child, I cried when I was given a
Barbie doll for Christmas one year. The transformation of Barbie dolls can
actually be studied as a microcosm for the transformation of females in
american society since the 1950s.
As a child, I cried when I was gifted a Barbie doll. The girly dolls simply
were not of interest to a young tomboy. As I’ve aged, I’ve recognized that
while I might not love Barbies, they are an interesting case study in the
promotion of feminism. Barbie dolls were first created in 1959. Critics of
Barbie dolls argue that the figurines promote materialism and unrealistic

looked submissively and mysteriously to the side, but in 1971, her eyes
looked straight ahead. Supporters of Barbie say that the dolls actually
