• Superlative form of an Adverb is used to compare more than two
things.
Adverbs can take comparative and superlative forms

-er
-est
• Sally works hard.
Comparative: Sally works harder than Steve
Superlative : Among Sally, Steve and Sue, Sally works the hardest
Adverbs ending with –ly, add
Comparative: more
Superlative : most
• The bird sings loudly
Comparative: The children sing more loudly than the bird.
Superlative: Of all three Pete sings the most loudly.
