Interpretation:
• A 'NOT DETECTED' result Indicates that Covid-19 RNA is not detected from the patient's specimen by this assay.
• A Single Negative Test result, particularly if this is from upper respiratory tract specimen does not exclude the infection.
• A 'DETECTED' result indicates the presence of COVID-19 RNA infection with active viral replication.
Viral shedding may differ during the course of disease, thus repeat testing done on subsequent days may show different results.
• An ‘INCONCLUSIVE’ result is due to PCR inhibition. Please provide a fresh sample for repeat testing.
