I created this piece with intent to provide an upbeat and modern sound I used piano and a
synth to provide the melody and a stationary beat using drums to provide the backing track
and beat that carries through the entire piece. The other instrument used was a guitar and
It was a simple 4 chord beat which carried through the piece as well. The tempo of the song
moves quite fast at 100 bpm as it was an easier speed for me to sing at. I’ve been Waiting
has a simple chord progression and is easy to follow. Through the study of musicians such as
ed Sheeran I have deduced and shown through my piece how a simple chord progression is
able to captivate an audience.
