TERMS & CONDITIONS OF THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019
Held under Swim England Laws & Technical Rules Licensed at Level 4. License Number: 4WM210574
To be held at the Pingles Leisure Centre, Avenue Road, Nuneaton, Warwickshire CV11 4LX
Age as at 31st December 2021
1.
This year’s club championships are being held on Saturday 16th October 2021 at Pingles, Nuneaton and is restricted to
swimmers who are members of Kingsbury Aquarius Swimming Club.
2.
A Sportsystems entry file will be used.
3.
Entry fees will be £3.00 per event up to a maximum of £12.50 if entered for all five events. Only entries which are
received with payment (via BACS) by the closing date of Friday 24th September 2021 will be accepted. There will be no
refunds on entry fees once submitted.
4.
All ages will swim the following distances in the following age groups:

100m Individual Medley – all ages will swim 100m (1 length each stroke)
5.
Trophies/medals awarded as follows: All strokes in each age groups & gender, 100m Individual Medley trophy for
under 8s and 9yrs is combined into 9/under age group. Open trophies – for any swimmer that swims in 12/13 age group
upwards there are open awards for the fastest overall swimmers in any of these age groups. All swimmers who
participate but do not get a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place award will receive a medal for taking part.

All club members (Category 1 and Category 2) are eligible to enter and we would encourage everyone to participate,
especially those younger (& older) swimmers who have not swum in a gala before.
7.
All club members of KASC will swim in their own age group regardless of whether they train with the City of
Birmingham.
8.
To prevent empty lanes, it is essential that any swimmer who has entered but is unable to compete on the day
withdraws. These withdrawals can be made either by emailing secretary@kingsburyswimming.org.uk or at least one
hour before the start of the event to the organisers.
9.
No on the night or late entries can be accepted (this is due to time constraints on the night). Entry fees are nonrefundable for none participation on the night.
10. All races are seeded by time so that swimmers will swim with others who have similar times, regardless of age. The
final heat in each event will be spearheaded. All times swum will be eligible for inclusion in the PB sheet, which will be
updated and published at the earliest opportunity following the championships.
11. As this is a Licensed Level 4 meet, all times will be submitted to the British Swimming rankings within 5 working days of
the Club Championships and will be publicised on the British Swimming rankings website. Times recorded are suitable
for entry into County Championships where acceptable to the County concerned and at Meets at Level 3.
12. Overhead starts will be used.
13. The Club will provide the following officials:
1 Referee (licensed and qualified to at least J2(s).
1 Starter (qualified to at least J2)
2 Judge of Stroke (qualified to at least J1)
2 Finish Judge (no qualification or training required)
Chief Timekeeper (minimum of J1 in training and qualified to Timekeeper)
Inspector of Turn/Timekeeper
Start End – 1 timekeeper per lane qualified to a minimum of Timekeeper
Turning End – 4 Inspector of turns all of whom must be qualified to a minimum of timekeeper.
14. The club will ensure that if swimmers are using the starting block that they have reached the competitive start award
standard.
15. The Coaches will be responsible for the organisation and safety of swimmers during the warm up.
16. No-one but officials and current competitors will be allowed behind the blocks during the gala.
17. For safety reasons swimmers should not leave the pool deck area without suitable footwear. No swimmers will be
allowed in the spectator area without suitable footwear.
18. Warm up 5.15pm with start at 5.45pm prompt.
19. There is plenty of seating for spectators so please come and support your children. Spectator charge is £3.50 per adult,
which includes programme and £2.00 for concessions (entry only). All charges go to cover the cost of hiring the pool.

Please complete the entry form below including their current PB. If no time available, please tick the relevant box. The
swimmers will be placed in heats relevant to ability following discussion with their coach. Hand completed form,
together with entry fees, to Dawn Pickett/Sarah Atkins by Friday 24th September 2021. They can be submitted via
email.
Results of trophy winners are not announced until the presentation evening of which the date will be confirmed
shortly.
We also need helpers on the night for many jobs, if you can help please indicate this on the form.
