• Dehydration and Filtration of Transformer Oil • The objective of dehydration is to remove the moisture contents or gases from the transformer oil and to remove all the contaminants such as carbon deposits, dirt, sludge etc. from the oil. In transformer oil, the dissolved air and excessive heating cause oxidation of the oil and heavy sludge deposits at the bottom of the tank and on the surface of the windings. Hence, it becomes necessary to remove all the above mentioned impurities at least once in a year by filtering the oil to maintain the transformer in a healthy state and to run it efficiently and smoothly. • Types of oil purifiers: 1. Stream Line Purifiers 2. Centrifugal Purifiers 3. Mobile oil filtration plant Stream Line Purifiers Centrifugal Purifiers Mobile Oil filtering plant ventilation
