Saint Mary’s University Senior High School, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya ABSTRACT The fastest growing and largest industry in the world today is tourism. Travelling of people outside the place of their residence or work is also considered as tourism. Leisure, pleasure, vacation, and business are the common reasons of travelling. Tourism affects the economic, sociocultural, and political life of individual, in these impacts many people can benefit from one destination, including the local or the host of the destination, the tourist, and also the government. This study aimed to encourage people to visit the different attractions in Nueva Vizcaya, and to give the tourist an idea of how beautiful the different tourist attraction in the province. Descriptivecomparative method is used in this study and Saint Mary’s University Senior High School is the place where the study is conducted. Respondents are limited to 100 students chosen within the SMU Senior High School Grade 12. The researcher grouped the respondent’s profile according to sex, strand, ethnicity. The researcher conducts a quantitative and qualitative questionnaire to know if they are satisfied with the element of a tourist destination. As a result of the study, the mean for the safety is 3.0680%, for the attraction is 3.3167%, for the accommodation is 3.0720%, for the food is 3.0160% and lastly for the activity is 3.1260% thus the respondents agreed to the satisfaction of elements of a tourist destination. In between the satisfaction of the elements of tourist destination there is a significant difference when grouped according to the people of the respondents. Keywords: Tourist Satisfaction, Tourism Sectors, Elements of tourist attraction I. INTRODUCTION Tourism is one of the fastest growing and largest industries in the world today. Tourism also refers to trips that involve travelling of people outside the place of their residence or work for leisure, pleasure, vacation, business, personal, or other purposes. This also has an impact to the lives of the host as well as the physical environment of the destination for example, economic, socio-cultural, and environmental impacts. Tourist destinations are defined as the main location or locations that travelers intend to visit and tourist attractions are the pocket activities and/or places that visitors do and see once at the destination. In the province of Nueva Vizcaya there are many tourist attractions that can be visited by a tourist. There are two main classification of attractions, and these are whether they are natural or man-made. The best natural attractions that you can visit in Nueva Vizcaya are Capisaan cave in Kasibu, Imugan falls in Sta. Fe, Mountain Ugu in Kayapa, sea of clouds in Belance, Dupax del Sur, Senora falls in Quezon, and Edralin falls in Kasibu. Second, Man-made attractions is an attraction constructed, built, designed, and invested in by man. The best man-made attraction that you can visit in Nueva Vizcaya are Church of San Vicente Ferrer in Dupax del Sur, People’s Museum in Bayombong, St. Dominic Cathedral in Bayombong, and Rizal Shrine in Casat, Bayombong. Tourism industry composed of several main elements which are: Accommodation, activities, food, attraction and safety that cover all aspects of travel and tourism. This study generaly aims to know the level of satisfaction of senior high school student on the elements of a tourist attraction in Nueva Vizcaya. II. METHODOLOGY Research Design It provides insights into the problem or helps to develop ideas or hypotheses for potential Quantitative-Qualitative Research is also used to uncover trends in thought and opinions, and dive deeper into the problem. This study used Quantitative approach which is Descriptive–Comparative method, this was used to described the characteristic of the population or phenomenon that is being studied and to examine, compare and contrast subject and ideas. This study wants to know more about the tourist destination and to promote tourist attractions in the province. This study used Qualitative approach which is phenomenological design because this study wants to know the experience of the tourist and to know how important the elements of a tourist destination are. Research Environment This study was conducted in Saint Mary’s University senior high school Antonio Tanchoco Building, where the different elements of tourist attractions are being considered by senior high school students. Map of Saint Mary’s University Respondents and Sampling Method In choosing the respondents of the research, the researcher considered grade 12 students Saint Mary’s University Senior high school. The researcher used Rao soft calculator to determine the number of respondents. Thus, with a total of 100 respondents are selected. Random sampling will be used to identify the respondents of the study. Research Instrument A survey-type questionnaire was adapted in the study of MacCanell (2004) as the datagathering instrument. The questionnaire contains two parts which is qualitative and quantitative. SMUSHS Journal of Multi-Disciplinary Research, December, 2019 Qualitative was used to know the extent of their knowledge about the important of elements of a tourist attractions. Quantitative designed was used to determine the range on how important the elements of tourist attractions to them. It is a form of interview checklist consisting of three (3) sections covering (A) PERSONAL INFORMATION (B) LEVEL OF IMPORTANCE (C) OPEN-ENDED QUESTION Data Gathering Procedure Presenting the formal letter to a subject teacher and to the coordination. Distribution of the survey questionnaires to the Senior high school students. Collecting the questionnaires to the Senior high school students. And lastly, we are tallying and analyzing that we gathered. Figure 4. Data Gathering Flowchart The researcher made a formal letter to be presented to the subject teacher and coordinator for approval of the questionnaire. After the approval, the researcher distributed the questionnaire to the senior high school student. After answering the questionnaire, the researcher collected all the questionnaire that has been distributed, then after that tally their answers and analyze it. Data Analyses The researcher will use the following statistical techniques and methods in analyzing the data gathered: 1. Frequency and distribution will be used to describe the respondents’ profile. 2. The researcher will use the mean and standard deviation for describing the elements of tourist attractions. 3. T-test for independent samples and ANOVA was used to identify the significant difference of the different elements of tourist attractions when grouped according to profile. In describing the perception of the respondents as regards to the importance of elements of tourist attractions, the researchers will use thematic analysis. Thus, the most important element of the respondents is the attraction. Table 2. Thus, this study shows that the respondents considered the attraction, accommodation, safety, activities and food of a tourist attraction. Thus, the above analysis rejects the null hypothesis (H0) that tourist are satisfied with the tourism products and market of Uttaranchal and accepts alternate hypothesis (H1). Further it rejects the null hypothesis (H0) that there is a no gap between the tourist expected services and perceived services in Uttaranchal tourism and accepts alternate hypothesis (H1). The analysis also leads to rejects null hypothesis (H0) that rural area of the Uttaranchal tourism has been developed and accepts the alternate hypothesis (H1). IV. REFERENCES Addmour H. &Ayish H.
