STEEPLE Class Case Study
• BigTime University is a member of a non-BCS
conference but has had several outstanding football
seasons the past three years and has started to gain
national media attention. Before the fall football
season began, one of the star players (touted as a
top NFL prospect) was accused of sexual assault
while he was out at a bar late one night (breaking
team imposed curfew and drinking policies). A trial is
pending.
• Using the STEEPLE principle, it is up to you to decide
whether this individual should be allowed to
continue participation on the football team.
