Authorities nab colorum vehicles at Sta. Fe border By Jerico Joshua Kahulugan | The Northern Forum | October 25, 2021 Last October 23, 2021-The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) arrested three colorum vehicles captured at the checkpoint established in barangay Tactac Sta. Fe Nueva Vizacaya Border According to the interview stated by the LTFRB Regional Director Edwars Lopez Cabase, the arrested colorum vehicles were overloaded containing 10 passengers and baggage. And it was also reported that the driver of the colorum vehicles does not have a valid driver’s license. In addition, The driver even stated that the colorum vehicle was owned by the wife of a major politician from the north, who is currently an incumbent member of the House of Representatives, who attempted to call and chat with the team leader using the erring driver's mobile phone pointed out by Cabase. Besides the other colorum vehicle was owned by an active member of the Philippine National Police (PNP), and the driver attempted to evade and sped away when the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) and LTFRB enforcers attempted to pursue, while the third colorum vehicle was under a "lease contract" agreement with a pharmaceutical (Research & Development) company. As of now, the vehicles were brought for impounding in Tuguegarao City. The enforcement team ensured that the passengers were conveyed safely to their destinations. The director warns operators of public transportation on the violations that the agency will impose on colorum vehicles.
