Purpose: - to develop skills measuring small amounts of liquid with a graduated cylinder using the metric system.
Materials:
colored water
test tube stand
6 test tubes/A-F
graduated cylinder
empty dump beaker
Procedure:

Into test tube A add 19mL of red water.
Into test tube C add 18 mL of yellow water.
Into test tube E add 18 mL of blue water.
From test tube C take 4mL and pour the 4mL into test tube D.
From test tube E take 7mL and add it to test tube D. MIX.
From the beaker of blue water measure 4mL and pour it into test tube F.
From the beaker of red water measure 7mL and add it to test tube F. MIX.
From test tube A take 8mL of water and pour into test tube B.
From test tube C take 3mL and add it to test tube B. MIX.
STOP AND RAISE YOUR HAND FOR YOUR TEACHER!

Post Lab:

Rinse all test tubes out and place upside down in racks.
Replace any paper towels in area.
Refill beakers with colored water if necessary.
Have lab helper check your area and return to your seat to finish your conclusion.
