Writing Frame for paragraph development
If you are having difficulties with your writing and, in particular, developing clear and detailed paragraphs, try
using this writing frame for a few weeks to see if it helps you structure your ideas. Make sure you write in full
sentences and link together your ideas.
How to discuss languages that the writer is trying to use.
State
Clearly state the focus of your
paragraph. Ensure the focus is
clearly relevant to the question
set.
Support
Clearly support your ideas using
relevant links or references to a
text or source.
Hint: try to embed quotations
for better fluency.
Explain
Clearly explain how the writer’s
use of language and
techniques create effects.
Hint: use explanation verbs to
discuss language
Extend
Take the idea further.
Hint: offer an alternative
explanation to your point; link
to a different part of the text;
scrutinize another feature of
the writer’s craft.
O’Gar and OP didn’t find anything. But there is a lot of hidden identities
such as Mr Smith being Madden and Creda Dexter is actually Ives.
That is a lot of Mystery being played in the story.
No one see anything suspicious. Not a shoe was missing
“There is 9 clews but it gives us no damn clews!”
“Madden is not my brother at all!”
“My name is Ives.”
“Why would anyone want to kill him”
First the writer gave a lot of clews but have no intention of telling them
it was useless. Then in the ending everything was explained and it is like
a turning point. The identities were exposed and the killer were found
finally.
