NATURE AND CONCEPT OF STAFFING

1. Explain the nature of staffing in your own words. (5pts.)
Staffing is the managerial function of recruitment, selection,
training, developing, promotion and compensation of personnel.
Staffing may be defined as the process of hiring and developing
the required personnel to fill in the various positions in the
organization.
2. What are the important roles the Human Resource Department plays in the
organization? (5pts)
HRM plays a key role in developing, reinforcing and changing the culture of
an organisation. Human Resource Management deals with issues related to
compensation, performance management, organisation development,
safety, wellness, benefits, employee motivation, training and others. HRM
plays a strategic role in managing people and the workplace culture and
environment.
3. Discuss the features of the nature of staffing and its functions. (15pts)
The primary function of staffing is to obtain qualified personnel for
different jobs position in the organization. In staffing, the right person is
recruited for the right jobs, therefore it leads to maximum productivity and
higher performance
