Intro.
Thank you for your interest in applying to Wayfinder. This application serves as a mechanism to select the most promising
startups for the program. It is broken into six sections as follows:

Section 2: General Startup Information
Section 3: Startup Details
Section 4: Program Experience
Section 5: Team Member Information
Section 6: Other
Thoroughly answer each question. Applications will not be evaluated unless complete. At any point, you may exit the
application survey and resume your progress at a later time by clicking the original link.
Please carefully review the deadlines, eligibility information, and admissions criteria below before submitting your
application. After the deadline has passed, your application will be reviewed and select teams will be invited to interview
before an admissions decision is made.
Eligibility
To apply for Wayfinder, a team must meet one or more of the following criteria:
1. Be using UCI-owned intellectual property as a core part of the startup’s business idea
2. Have at least one active team member (co-founder or member of the management team) who is a current UCI faculty, student, or
staff
3. Have at least one active team member (co-founder or member of the management team) who is a UCI alumnus (degree program or
minimum completion of 16 units)
In some unique cases, exceptions may be made for non-UCI students whose university’s existing entrepreneurial offerings are for some
reason insufficient.
Admissions Criteria
Successful applicants to Wayfinder will exhibit the following characteristics:
The startup team has a basic understanding of its current business model and is able to effectively communicate it.
The startup’s business model is repeatable and scalable.
The startup addresses a real problem or customer need and will offer a product/service that is unique or hard to duplicate.
The startup team can demonstrate that it has initiated the process of customer discovery by testing customer reactions to its
business model hypotheses.
Prior to approaching UCI Applied Innovation and applying to the Incubator, it is expected that the startup team has engaged extensively
with other entrepreneurship support resources available through UCI schools, centers, and programs. Additionally, teams will be
evaluated for fit based on their expectations for the program, progress goals for their startup, and mentoring needs.

Section 3. Section 3: Startup Details
Value Prop. What problem is your startup addressing?
We tac kle problems relating to human c omputer interac tion in various sec tors inc luding virtual and augmented reality. In virtual and
augmented reality one of the biggest c hallenges is interac ting and manipulating the virtual world.
Description. Briefly describe our startup's value proposition. What is your solution to the problem you are addressing?
Our interac tive systems(a wearable c omputer) makes human c omputer interac tion seamless by c ollec ting and translating natural language
(Sight, Voic e , hand or body motion ) into useful data that c an be utilized by other systems for various purposes.
Advantage. Briefly describe your startup's sustainable competitive advantage. What specific benefits does your solution offer
that don't already exist on the market?
The modular design of our interac tive system (a wearable c omputer) allows us to tac kle various problems in human c omputer interac tion
with more prec ision. This is ac hieved through the use of ac c essories, we envision many interac tive solutions suc h as haptic gloves or VR
c ontrollers with the need for a mobile proc essing unit whic h our interac tive system provides.
Proof. What market research and customer discovery have you performed to demonstrate that there is product-market fit? In
other words, how big is the market for your product/service and what evidence do you have to support whether customers
would be willing to pay for it? Explain.
The demand for new interac tive solutions is on the rise espec ially in the AR and VR sec tor, this is due to the inability to use regular input
devic es suc h as a keyboard or mouse in VR applic ations. The AR / VR industry is expec ted to reac h "One hundred and fifty Billion dollars"
by 2022.
Q49. Do you have (non-UCI) intellectual property? If so, what is its patent status?
We have began filing provisional patents for some of our tec hnologies and intend on pursuing a full patent.
