On the EMS page, activate the Soft Split function in accordance with the following steps:
1. In the upper-left area of the Configuration Management page, select an eNodeB to be
enabled with the Soft Split function, and then click [Modify Area].
2. Select
[Modify Area > Device] . Double click, check the TDD 8T8R RRU and TDD base
board. Here we use slot 101(R8978 A3A) and slot 8. Here only for check ,no need to
configure
3. For TSL, usually configure 20M+10M two carrier cell for each sector, one pair
fiber cannot configure 4 cells, here for sector 1 configure for example, need two
pair of fiber. [Modify Area > Device>BTS Auxiliary Peripheral
Device>Cable>Fiber cable]
After configure two pair fibers:

4. [Modify Area > Device>RRU>Optical Port Device Set , here select the RRU for
soft split . change Uplink connection mode to Multiple load-sharing optical line[2]
5 .In the lower-left area of the Configuration Management page, select [Modify Area > Radio
Parameter > LTE TDD > Baseband Resource]. Build four baseband resource with the same
RRU, two 20M cell and two 10M cell. Use the same RRU. Make sure 4 cell cannot exceed the
RRU power.

Parameter > LTE TDD > E-UTRAN TDD cell>Std Ant Wgt Table]. Set Broadcast Weight
Amplitude/Phase Configuration of Cell1 and Cell2 according the value below(different kind of
antenna have different value, below only for BA-4Q7X90V-00):

5.Configure the Neighbor Relation of the new cells with exiting cells.
Cell 1 and cell 3 , cell2 and cell4 neighbor relationship.
6.In the Configuration Management window, select Modify Area > Radio Parameter > LTE
TDD > E-UTRAN TDD Cell > PUCH and PDCH. set Downlink Frequency Selection of
four
cells Downlink PRB Random Allocation[2].

7.In the Configuration Management window, select Modify Area > Radio Parameter > LTE
TDD > E-UTRAN TDD Cell > PUCH and PDCH. set cell 1and cell2 of Uplink Frequency
Selection to RB Location Wideband allocation[0], and set
cell3 and cell4 Uplink Frequency
Selection to Allocate RB from high frequency[7].

8.To enable PUCCH IRC, in the EMS Configuration Management window, first, select Modify
Area->Radio Parameter->LTE->E-UTRAN TDD Cell->LTE TDD PUCH and PDCH. Second,
set the parameter Switch for PUCCH IRC for Open[1] as shown below.
9.To configure neighbor cell’s UL CoMP coorperative relationship by cell coordination
management, which is to group the two cells to a group CoMP cell, cell1 and cell3 ,cell2 and
cell4 UL COMP.
In Configuration Management system, select Configuration->Special Function of
Standard->Cell Coordination Management, enter the Cell Coordination Management
interface, see the figure below.

Select the target SubNetwork ID, click Query button as shown in the figure below.

Click Group, then Neighbor Cell List dialog box is displayed, tips for choosing which cells and
the main cell of the CoMP coordination. See the figure below.
Select Cooperative Relationship Type for UL COMP, and then select the cells for CoMP
based on network planning.
10..After all parameters are configured properly, synchronize the modified data.
