THE APPEAL POEM

advertisement
The Appeal, at CCC
California Correctional Center
I said it hard, I said it Loud
I am the best! I am Proud!
My students are criminals
they are bound
My job is to help them
come around
to a better life
without cops and prisons
and all the strife
"These are my people" I
announced at the end
I was in jail a few times
it is true
so, I speak from experience
I got out, it was a deliverance
Now here I sit broken hearted
I miss the good money
but not the teaching crowd
most were fat women
backstabbing bitches
dithering, doddering, dimwits all
how did they pass probation?
a lower standard a lower bar
A white man's burden, I stand tall!
