Town Star is the first game developed by Gala Games. It is a strategic town simulation game that is deceptivly complex! If you haven't played, I highly recommend spending some time experimenting with the mechanics, as it really is a lot of fun. There is an ongoing debate on the fairness of leveraging scripts to automate tasks within Town Star. Gala Games' official stance has been that they encourage player innovation, but not to the detriment of the game. Due to the upcoming emergence of the TradeBot, and to help level the playing field for those that are less tech savvy, I'm releasing the Town Star Auto-Sell script that I developed. If you opt to use a script such as the one provided here, please act with decency and respect to your fellow gamers. Town Star Auto-Sell v1 This script will perform several functions to help make your town more efficient. As it runs in your browser, there's no need to fuss with positioning or anything like that. Automatically click the "Play Now" button, in the event that your browser refreshes Automatically accept incoming "Jimmy Requests" and "Gasoline Airdrops" Automatically sell a craft on a timed interval Log every sale with a timestamp (in your browser's local storage) v1 Instructions Set the variables sellTimer, depotType, and craftedItem1 as desired Load the script in your browser. This can be done via a browser plugin such as Tampermonkey, or by directly pasting the code into your browser's console. NOTE: To run this script without Tampermonkey, you must remove the GM_setValue and GM_getValue references. Respect each other. Don't abuse the capabilities offered by this script. Removed the "log every sale" feature (removes the Tampermonkey-dependent functions) Added support for multiple trade vehicles Added support for multiple trade vehicle types Added logic to avoid getting stuck on the "Planning Route" window Added logic to make the timing of sales more efficient Added a configuration item to make those settings more accessible Added logic to make the timing of sales more efficient Added a status indicator to show that the script is running Status indicator will display a message if your town runs out of gas. Click the indicator to clear the alert. Minor update (v2.2) - added in a 10 second timeout which will attempt to click the cancel button if a trade gets stuck on the Planning Route screen. v2 Instructions For each item that you wish to sell, set the "item" and "keepAmt" values within the craftedItems variable. The "keepAmt" value is the amount of that item that you DO NOT want to sell. A value of 5 will only sell if you have at least 15 of that item (sell 10, keep 5). Load the script in your browser. This can be done via a browser plugin such as Tampermonkey, or by directly pasting the code into your browser's console. Respect each other. Don't abuse the capabilities offered by this script.
