Physical Adaptation A physical adaptation is some type of structural modification made to a part of the body. Body Parts Webbed Feet: Most animals in the water has webbed feet to help them swim. Ex: Polar bear, otter, penguines Sharp Teeth: Help an animal eat meat. Carnivores animals have sharp teeth. Ex: Lion, tiger, fox, wolf Large Beaks: This can be an adaptation of both carnivores and herbivores animals. It helps the animals eat. Ex: Rhinocers hornbill, Macaw Body Coverings Striped Fur: This adaptation is called Camouflage. Helps to blend into their environment. Ex: Skunk, Tiger Brightly colored Feathers: Birds with brightly colored feathers could camouflage and defend using these feathers. Ex: Peacock, Kingfishers Scales: This is an environment protectant. To protect from terrain they encounter.
