Ode To An Intersection You smell the newly cut grass and the smell of the spring air. Kids are just coming out of school and we are waiting for all of them to leave Oh intersection you have fathered many memories for me never to forget Bloody clothes and bruises the size of a grapefruit Anger that got passed over to other people because the houses didn’t like our yelling You have brought me such joy with rugby and sports on those roads The big field on the edge of your roads that made kids wish it wasn’t cold out I had days where I drove down you and hated knowing that I was going to get cut and bruised You made me dread and enjoy my days because you helped me make amazing friends but you also made it come to the point of wanting to quit because of rugby The run down house that always smelled bad and people were coming in and out all day and night that had made us all think that it could’ve been a crack house The cars that we hit on accident because we were kicking balls into the road You made it possible to enjoy life and made it possible for me to finally make the helpful and loving friends that I made along the way You may just be a random suburb road that no one thinks can be amazing but you changed my life everyday and I will never forget that and the things that came from you Thank you so much for everything W.
