Foodpanda in Malaysia very committed as a first platform in create a new job to people in Malaysia
to wade through covid – 19 .
Covid -19 cause a biggest affect to economy and employment sector in Malaysia in general . Almost
100,000 people in malaysia lost their jobs last year .
In terms of the sender ”rider” , They always taking care about their mission to give some
opportunities about work as rider to all of people in Malaysia who in needed .
Not only involving rider only because last year , we are successful to help more Malaysian people
who not have job such as rider , foodpanda walker or join our management members .
We managed to draft 80 new positions in our offices throughout Malaysia , thus helping us appoint
more than 200 new employees .
The foodpanda rider base also increased by 169 percent from 13,000 riders in January 2020 to
35,000 riders late last year .
Ther department also introduced the Walker foodpanda , which is a new option for those who do
not use motorcycles . It’s the most fun job option for anyone to join
For young Malaysians who may not yet have a license or vehicle , now they also have the option to
earn a living .
As of the end of 2020 , we have approximately 2,500 foodpanda walkers in 11 states .
For this segment , we plan to expand our efforts to provide employment opportunities to more
Malaysians ,
In addition , disember 2020 , foodpanda has over 60,000 vendors across its platform .
We will continue to increase our development efforts this year in the hope of providing more
opportunities for entrepreneurs , especially small and medium enterprises ( SMEs ) , to become
vendors .
