Present Simple – Past Simple
1. “I am beautiful.” Rosanna said
Rosanna said (that) she WAS beautiful.

Rosanna told us that she LIKED apples.

Giovanni said (that) Xavi didn’t behave well.
Present Perfect – Past Perfect
1. “I have never been to Rio.” Rosanna said
Rosanna said/ told us (that) she had never been to Rio.
