Individual Reflection Paper/Personal Plan
A. Cancer, Angelique Bianca R.
As an individual, I grew up fond of reading books - romance, thriller, horror, science
fiction, etc. For me, reading books gives you experiences and knowledge that you can apply in
your day-to-day events. When my aunt went to Canada, she left some of her books in my
possession, and I happened to stumble upon her book called The 360 leader by John Maxwell.
In an interview with Ms. Trinidad, she walked us through the journey of owning a business.
From what I have picked up, becoming an owner of a business is a lifelong process. There is a
need to learn and experience things beforehand and while being one. She mentioned that before
Pugpog Bikers Highlands, she had small businesses and handled event coordination before.
Through her experiences, she had practiced her skills and decision-making. The experiences she
had yielded knowledge that helped her when she built her new business.
Handling a business is a continuous challenge that targets how well you can execute your
visions into reality. To have values that would set standards for your business and bring the
organization to success and fulfillment.
B. Del Rosario, John Matthew S.
Experience is one of the best assets in business. The more you have experience, the more
you will succeed. Learning business is a real deal, as a student of Marketing Management I should
focus myself on researching and try to add up on my own knowledge for businesses. This research
study surely help us as an individual and to maximize our talent in terms of decision making and
business related thoughts. How did this study affects my thinking? At first it helps me that
businesses is not easy as we think, we need to go through the right process to be successful.
Businesses have positive affects in our lives, just like what Mrs. Trinidad said when you plan for
a business and you see that the plan is executed very well, it boost our confidence and try to be
more better. Our paper surely helps us on how and what we’re going to do to overcome when
challenges come.

Certain things are difficult to comprehend until you have gone through them. One of these
is entrepreneurship. It's not easy to grasp the concept of business. Although schooling and reading
about it expands your understanding, you will never truly understand unless you operate your own.
Through this course, I acquired invaluable experience running a business and obtaining expertise.
Entrepreneurship was a testing ground for me as a Business Management student, as it allowed me
to put all of the management ideas I learned in my other courses to the test. My education provided
me with a structured approach to business. Two main subjects that I put to the test in
entrepreneurship were financial resource management and marketing. Because the course was so
practical and the investment was small, it gave me the confidence to try new things because the
risk was low. Aside from that, the classroom group was more beneficial in terms of learning.
Businesses is a huge factor in one’s daily lives, it contains knowledge and talent to be
successful business person. Starting your own company may be a thrilling and financially
rewarding endeavor. Having your own business has several advantages design your own.
Businesses that want to survive the present economic downturn must seek out and leverage
competitive advantages. Matching core talents to opportunities creates a competitive edge. The
entrepreneur I spoke with draws on her experience, quality, consistency, and general understanding
of what clients genuinely want and need. Mrs. Trinidad talents and experience allow her to react
to market developments more quickly. Mrs. Trinidad possesses exceptional negotiating and sales
abilities, making her a market leader.
C. Perez, Adrian Angelo B.
A quick fiction story: there once was a martial arts expert who was able to survive until the
end of the war era. After obtaining peace, everything was quiet. Everything was calm; there was
no scent of blood in the air but only those of blooming trees. During this time, the expert decided
to read all of the books available at his disposal, gaining enlightenment, on the day of his death,
he was reincarnated as his eight-year-old self. Upon reincarnating he became a prodigy with his
knowledge, and he was able to lead his army to victory in the war that was bound to happen. What
does the story have to do with business? What is the relationship of a leader in terms of business?

FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY
INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTS, BUSINESS AND FINANCE
Being in a business is like being a soldier within a war. Starting as a part of the business
you see different people’s back in front of you guiding you and leading the way, after some time,
you learn and you go side by side with this people as colleagues or as the pillars of the army that
helps maintains the balance or supports the business. Thereafter you become the one who has
learned everything that you have to and decide on being the owner in which you will become the
owner of the business or the one leading the war, being the ‘back’ that people would be looking at
as you guide the people who will become the leaders or business owners in the future.
We notice that there are experiences throughout the journey, in which these experiences
will teach a person on how to become a pillar, on being the back that people will look upon one
day. There is always a beginning, the path onto which a person starts learning. The between in
which you apply what you have learned and absorb any more knowledge available. Lastly the
aftermath, the starting point of your own path and leading the people with the knowledge you have.
In businesses the ones stated above is a cycle, just like with Ms. Trinidad, she started with being
part of small markets and event coordination in which was her beginning. The between of her
journey was having small businesses while attending trainings and lastly the aftermath was the
beginning of her very own Pugpog Biker’s Highlands business being established.
D. Rey, Summer Alexa P.
What Ms. Trinidad have said during the interview, opened my mind and understood better
about what living in the business world is like. I too have experienced being an entrepreneur, from
selling desserts, to selling beauty products and now being invested in crypto currency. From my
experience, people are more successful if they are engaged in a business of their own. The way
they have invested their money, time and effort for their business to grow, shows attitude and
passion he or she has. Of course, if you are investing in a particular business, you will need the
knowledge and skills, a positive mind and trusting the process.
Let motivation be a part of your journey, knowing that others believes in you, strengthens
your spirit to be able to do well. When people sees you being professional, resourceful, and
versatile in your job, it will entice them or gain more interest to know more about the business
world. Experience is a huge factor in life for we are learning and gaining something every day. As
11
FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY
INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTS, BUSINESS AND FINANCE
you engage in a business, valuing and being passionate about it makes you provide the best
customer service.
There will be failures and risks but treat these at your stepping stones towards a more
successful and vibrant life. For I believe that success is counted by the sweetest for those who fail,
but stands in every fall. When you fail, it’s not the end of everything; it’s just the beginning of
something.
E. Sanchez, Sillian Wallace R.
Venturing into the business world definitely is full of risks. It is like taking a journey to the
unknown where one might fail a thousand times before reaching the actual destination. Engaging
into a business requires a lot of things. Like what Ms. Trinidad have said, it is necessary to have
the right attitude and a positive mindset. As an individual, constantly battling with everyday
challenges in life, I have learned from Ms. Trinidad that it is always important to have a back-up
plan in everything. We should never be too assured of something even if things are going smoothly.
Most of the time, experiences teach us more than what we learn in books. So, it is important
that we trust the process and to be passionate on everything that we do. Ms. Trinidad became an
eye-opener that engaging into businesses is not easy. We will face many failures, encounter many
losses, and might have businesses that do not really work out even if we give our best shot. But
we must always be reminded that we can always start anew. It is important that we do not give up
and just keep trying. And once we already succeeded, we must still carry the values that we acquire
from the process.
Throughout the making of our research paper and being the one to lead, I realized so many
things. One is the importance of teamwork. By fact, our group could not make it if it is only by the
work of one. So, we make things possible in the amount of time given to us and we make sure that
we work together to finish our part on the task. Second is the importance of having a support
system. In times of pressure, words of encouragement come in handy. I have seen by the
performance of our group that we work more efficient when we give words of encouragement.
Through this, I have realized that it is better to work in a group where everyone believes in the
12
FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY
INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTS, BUSINESS AND FINANCE
capabilities of one another. And lastly, I have realized through the story of Ms. Trinidad that we
should not be afraid of taking risks because we will never know something unless we try.
Acknowledgment
The group would like to express their utmost and deepest gratitude towards Ms. Kristel
Ann Trinidad for giving the chance to have her as the interviewee for this research study. Her
business experiences will surely be an inspiration for the members of the group and her
achievements will serve as a motivation for young individuals.
