Human activities have negative effects on plant and animal species. Some people think it is too
late to do anything about this problem. Others believe effective measures can be taken to improve
this situation. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Nowadays, human interventions to the environment are believed to destroy the natural lives. Some
believe that nothing can be done to save them, while others argue that a number of useful policies
will work. The essay below will discuss the both opinions and give mine.
Some people claim/maintain/contend that there are no solutions to address the environmental issue
for/since/because/due to the fact that biodiversity and natural environment have already been
destroyed completely. The major reason is increasing demand for such the raw materials as wood is
very likely to lead to more severe deforestation, which one might cause damage to the habitats of
the animals. As a result, there are a certain number of animals dying out gradually for being
homeless. It is also primarily due to the fact that the poisonous gases from the processing factories
of such materials tend to contribute to serious/worsening air pollution, which in turn will make the
plants wilt.
However, others still keep the hopes that some useful measures can be introduced to mitigate the
extent of the damage. Governments can control/mitigate/alleviate/lessen the seriousness of air
pollution by increasing the taxes on those factories producing/generating/emitting damaging gases,
as well as by encouraging the use of public transportation instead of private cars. In addition to this,
the deforestation should be banned, especially those by illegal workers who are running their own
business. (The ban should be imposed on the deforestation, especially those illegal workers who are
cutting the trees for their own businesses.
Personally, although I’m still concerned about the present situation of the nature, I believe that
some helpful laws will be available to protect the lives. It’s time for government to intervene in the
serious problems, they should stop those who are damaging the ecological environment, and let
more citizens fully aware of the seriousness of the scene. Therefore, with the help of the whole
society, we can probably save the Earth.
