One More and One Less – Recall One More (0-20) Development Matters and Early Learning Goal Links: (M-N25) Says the number that is one more than a given number. (ELG11) Children count reliably with numbers from 1 to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, they add and subtract two single-digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer. They solve problems, including doubling, halving and sharing. Advice and Ideas: This learning activity enables children to recall one more than a given number. It also enables children to develop their number recognition skills and practise recording numerals.
