B. COURSES WITH STANDARD MEETING TIMES
Classes meeting during the term within the standard meeting times given in the first column will have
their examinations at the time and date indicated in the second and third columns. The determining
factor will be the first class meeting during the first full week of Fall Term classes: Monday, August 30–
Friday, September 3. In the case of lecture style courses, the first lecture meeting will govern, not the
discussion section meeting.

C. Courses with Non-Standard Meeting Times: Courses with Non-Standard times
should plan to follow the closest Standard Time’s exam date and time. Examples:
a A Monday 2 PM course would follow the M(WF) 1:30 PM exam schedule
b A Monday 2:30 PM course would follow the M(WF) 3 PM exam schedule
D. Conflicts
a Instructors with conflicting examinations should plan to use the scheduled make-up date
or contact their Vice Dean for approval of an alternate date/time. If student polling is
necessary to select an alternate date/time, please contact the appropriate Vice Dean for
Education to ensure that students are surveyed anonymously. Only after approval is
obtained should instructors or departments contact ASENScheduling@jhu.edu to schedule
a classroom.
b Students with exam conflicts should contact the respective instructor(s) to make
alternative arrangements.
E. Make-up Date: The afternoon of Friday, December 17 will be reserved for make-up exams and
resolution of conflicts.
F. Asynchronous Classes: Classes that are meeting asynchronously can schedule an exam in the
make-up slot OR find a mutually agreed upon time (students and instructor must agree; please
contact the appropriate Vice Dean for Education to ensure that students are surveyed
anonymously) during the exam period.
