Session 1 REFLECTION Fabro, Angeline B. Cluster 3 Cogon National High School El Salvador City “ Everything you say to your child is absorbed, catalogued and remembered.”Maria Montessori. The best way for a child to learn language is thru listening, imitating and understanding. Most of the children learned best and fast because their language vocabulary is still empty. They are still learning new languages day by day. Most children also acquire language because of constant interaction, this interaction is not limited to his parents and other adults, but also with other children. Baby talks are a good practice because it deals with exaggeration and repetitions. As a parent myself, I have experienced on how my son acquire and learn languages. When a child is surrounded with a lot of talkative people or when he is always being interact, the child will also respond in his or her own language. Later on, and he is always being conversed he will learn some languages and these words are being stored in his or her vocabulary. My son now is very talkative and could converse naturally and could enunciate words correctly. As a parent I learned that it is important to talk or converse to your children as young as they are. So that, they will be able to converse and they will not have a problem when it comes to talking and expressing themselves. Language learning among children is tacky and tedious but worth it. It takes patience and a virtue.
