Junior Achievement of the Philippines, Inc. (JA Philippines) – A member of JA Worldwide® is the world largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. JA Philippines will launch the Registered Business Professional® (RBP) Certification Program, its latest innovative project aimed at leveling up business and corporategeared education in the Philippines. Since 1969, JA has been championing fundamental business education and entrepreneurial values formation for the Filipino youth, in order to continuously nurture a solid economic bedrock for the country generations of achievers who come out of school fully prepared for the business and corporate environments they will face and help recreate. The RMP certification program is a joint project of the JA Philippines with more than 50 top member corporations and its umbrella organization, the Chartered Association of Marketing and Business Professionals, a group of leaders and practitioners in the marketing and business field. What is RBP Certification Program? The Registered Business Professional (RBP) Certification Program was conceptualized to fill the need for skilled business graduates. Companies feel that the skill level of business students decreased and that they need a certification program that they need a certification program that will ensure that their future employees have the necessary skills to do the job. The program aims to help companies find the right people, regardless of the school affiliations, which is often the criterion used in hiring new graduates. It also hopes to guide schools on skills that are currently in demand in the field and eventually make the necessary changes in their curriculums. This certification exam is for business students (who are about to enter the job market), business management fresh graduates and currently working (has no doctorate degree). It works like licensure exam give prospective employers a peek into applicants’ knowledge of marketing concepts and skills are marketing professionals. It has two parts: Theoretical (40%) and Case Analysis (60%). Theoretical part check on what students have learned so far in the school while in Case Analysis part features case studies that test students’ abilities to apply those concepts into real-life work situation. The case studies and theoretical part of the exams are prepared by industry practitioners working for the top corporations in the country and reputable International academic partners. The exam covers five (5) subject areas: Financial and Managerial Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Business Management, Business Communication, Marketing Management and Human Resource Management. The passing rate is 60%.
