CORRELATION COURSE GUIDELINES – 1ST Quarter AY 2021-2022
A. ONLINE DELIVERY
1. Students who are regularly enrolled in the correlation courses will automatically be
included in the Blackboard course page.
Students who are retakers in 1Q AY 2021-2022 (those who were enrolled 4Q 2020-2021
and prior terms) must enlist themselves in the Google form survey (link) until 03
September 2021 at 11:59PM. If the link does not work, copy, and paste this link
(https://tinyurl.com/bb-enroll-1q2122) to your browser.
2. Final list of retakers in 1Q AY 2021-2022 will be submitted to Center for Teaching and
Learning (CTL) for inclusion in current (1Q AY 2021-2022) correlation course sections in
their respective programs.
3. Students must check their BB accounts to access all review materials and activities for the
correlation course they are completing.
4. Students can access review/lecture materials in any of the following options:
a. Powerpoint without audio
b. Powerpoint with audio
c. Pre-recorded videos
d. Zoom recordings
Students can access online activities such as:
a. Practice exercises (or Assignments)
b. Quizzes or Mock Board Examination
c. Zoom Meetings
5. Blackboard courses will be catered by topic taken each day in the respective Board
Examinations as prescribed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). The list of
current available correlation courses this 1st Quarter of AY 2021-2022 are as follows:

a. A copy of the course syllabus, course schedule and the correlation course
guidelines are to be uploaded by the lecturer on Blackboard.
b. There are quizzes given to help assess the students’ understanding of the
concepts and principles discussed. There will be 3 quizzes that will be required
on all of the correlation courses. The quizzes will be proctored live via Zoom,
and handwritten solutions to the quizzes are required also to be submitted.
c. Discussion of the solutions on the quizzes shall be included also in the course
schedule. However, the solutions to quizzes will not be disseminated to the
students nor can be demanded by the students from the lecturers. Students
must attend the schedule of live discussion of the quiz results or access its
recording.
d. Quizzes can only be taken once while practice exercises, if any, can have
multiple attempts. Students must comply with the given schedule of the
quizzes.
e. Mock Board Exams can only be taken once on 1st Quarter AY 2021–2022, and it
will be on 23 October to 26 October 2021.
f. Special retakes of the Mock Board Examination may be taken on Week 1 of the
following term if the students have no more pending courses left before
graduation provided that a letter of request be endorsed by their school or
department, with approval of either its Program Chair or Dean. Students will be
allowed to complete the correlation course for the next three (3) terms or
within a year after his/her enrollment of the course.
6. Grading
a. A FINAL GRADE of “P” (Passed) will be given if the final weighted average is 70%
or above. The Mock Board Examination has a weight of 60% and the quizzes
have a weight of 40%.
b. A grade of “IP” (which is also equivalent to a grade of “C”) is given if the above
criteria is not satisfied. To complete the course, the students will just need to
retake and pass the failed part or whole of the mock board examination on the
following term. However, the student must complete the correlation course
within 1 year or else he/she will need to re-enroll the correlation course again.
c. A grade of “F” (Fail) is given to students if he/she is caught violating the
academic integrity policy of the University, and/or the students incurred
unexcused absences of more than 20% of the total course hours. If a student
receives a failing grade on the correlation course, he/she will automatically reenroll the course on the next term, if available, and following the same
guidelines for first-time enrollees.
B. MOCK BOARD EXAMINATION
1. The Mock Board Examination for 1st Quarter of AY 2021–2022 will be scheduled on
Week 10 – Week 11 (23 October to 26 October 2021).

2. Students must take a photo and must sign the Agreement to the Academic Integrity
Policies before being allowed to take the Mock Board Examinations. Failure to adhere
with the Academic Integrity Policies will automatically merit a grade of “F” in the course
and may be referred to the Prefect of Discipline for appropriate sanctions.
3. Reminders when taking the Mock Board Examination:
a. Clicking the EXAM LINK automatically starts of the exam and will be considered as one
(1) attempt.
b. The exam has a time limit. Take note of the Start and End time of the exam.
c. The exam is monitored live via Zoom with camera enabled.
d. Students must open the video in the Zoom meeting during the Mock Board Exam.
Students who could not open his camera due to any reason, shall not be allowed to
take the exam and shall be considered zero (0) for the term. Students must ensure
that their camera is working well prior to the exam.
e. Ensure that you are alone in a quiet and well-lighted room when taking the mock
board examination. Students must work alone and must not talk to anyone during the
duration of the mock board examination. Using your mobile phone is strictly
prohibited.
f. Opening or using instant messaging, email, and/or browsing websites other than
Blackboard during the mock board examination is strictly prohibited.
g. Students are not allowed to leave their seat when taking the exam. Ensure that they
have eaten their meals and/or have had their toilet breaks before the start of the
exam. Students shall be forced to click “Submit” should they want to leave their seats.
h. Handwritten solutions shall be scanned or be digitally photographed and be
submitted along with the answers for Problem Solving items.
i. Ensure to submit the exam and other required documentations, 15 mins before the
deadline to have enough time to double check if the exams and other required
documentations are successfully submitted.
j. Exam and other required documentations that are submitted LATE will be voided.
C. COMPLETION OF GRADES
1. Students who obtained “C” grade in the previous quarters, provided it has not been
acquired for more than 4 terms, will need to fill out Request to Complete Course form
thru this link. If the link is not working, copy and paste this link
(https://tinyurl.com/completion-2q2122) on your browser.
2. The submission of completion forms is only accepted during Week 11 of the current
term up to Week 3 of the succeeding term.
