“The bass, the fish, and Sheila” question
1. There‘re several details like ”brilliant existence” and ”candlelit swirl” which can
create an elegant mood. As a reader, I can learn that although narrator’s mother felt
the neighborhood is noisy, he still yearn for the brilliant life like them.
2. He fell in love with Sheila. He was using all his skills to attract Sheila. Obviously,
the narrator is also brave cause he is willing to show himself.
3. I guess the conflict will be the argue between the narrator and other men who is
trying to impress Sheila.
4. The narrator invited Sheila to watch the concert together. It make the story more
compelling since the readers are curious about how two individuals will
communicate.
5. The narrator definitely want to show Sheila his canoe and skills on fishing. Besides,
in most of his life, he did activities on river which made him familiar with water.
6. The mood is more serene and dusky. The night is coming and there’s no daylight.
