Part I: Figure Series
Direction: In each item below, the figures show a sequence of changing patterns. Discover this pattern
of change. From the figures labeled A, B, C, and D choose the one which should come next in the series.
Part II: Figure Groupings
I. The Odd Figure
Directions. Each item in this section consists of figures. The task is to find the principle involved which
makes four of the five figures similar to each other. The figure that is different from the other four is the
answer to the item.
II. Figures that don’t belong in either group?
Directions. Each item in this section consists of two groups (left and the right) with similar figures inside
each square. The task is to find the group involved which does not make the other group of figures
similar to each other. The group of figures that is different from the other four groups is the answer to
the item
III. The Odd Group One Out
Directions. Each item in this section consists of different figures that are group together. The task is to
find the group involved which does not make the other group of figures similar to each other. The group
of figures that is different from the other four groups is the answer to the item.
Part IV: Hidden Figures
Directions: Each item below is made up of a simple figure at the left and four complicated drawings at
the right. Select the complicated drawing that contains the simple figure. The hidden figure may appear
in a different position but it must have the same shape and same size as the simple figure.
Part V: Complete the Series
Direction: In each item below, the figures show a sequence of changing patterns. Discover what is
missing in the pattern of change. From the figures labeled A, B, C, and D choose the one which should
come next in the series.
