Explain the importance of identifying the sources in studying history. Answer: Sources of information about history can be found anywhere on Earth. It could be printed or orally distributed. With the emergence of the internet, the number of sources of information concerning history is boundless. It can be found from one source to another. But knowing the right source can reveal a great deal and can provide you with a wealth of information on the data you are looking for rightfully. By learning such, spreading fake data or information can be prevented. 3. When studying history, how will you evaluate the credibility of the sources you found? Answer: In studying history, there is a need for thoroughly examination, evaluation and investigation of the data and evidences by conducting an external (verifying the authenticity of the evidence by examining its physical characteristics) and internal criticism, which is examining the truthfulness and factuality of the evidence by looking at the author’s background and its intended purpose by asking different questions like “Was the author present in the event?”,”How soon was the author able to gather informations regarding the event?” and the like that would verify whether he or she is a credible author. 4.
