INSOMNIA
What is it?
Insomnia is a sleep disorder in which you have
trouble falling and/or staying asleep. Acute insomnia
lasts from 1 night to a few weeks. Insomnia is
chronic when it happens at least 3 nights a week for
3 months or more.
What Causes it?
1. Stress
2. Mental Health Issues (Depression or
Anxiety)
3. Distractions like Light or Noise
4. Change in SleepingSchedule
What should you do as a preventive measure?
1. Practice good sleep hygiene . Follow

a routine to relax before bed. Don’t use
phones or e-books before sleeping
because their light can make it harder to
fall asleep. And most importantly, avoid
staying up late.
Avoid procrastinating . Do your
tasks when you have time to avoid
stress when they came piling up one
after another.
Get regular exercise and avoid
stimulants like caffeine and nicotine. If
you try to drink to be able to sleep faster,
Alcohol can make you wake up in the
middle of the night and hurt your sleep
quality.

CONCURRENT HEADACHES/MIGRAINE
What isit?
Headaches that occur at least thrice a week is
considered concurrent and could be a mild case of
migraine. It will cause a painful throbbing in one
side of the head. If ignored, it can become severe
and may cause nausea.

one’s self from stressors. It is also
essential to avoid overthinking because
it can cause stress and depression.

CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME
What is it?
Also called median nerve compression,
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a condition that
causes numbness, tingling, or weakness in
your hand. It is characterized by a burning,
tingling,or itching numbness in your palm
and thumb or your index and middle fingers
which causes trouble holding things.
What should you do asa preventive measure?
1. Live a healthy lifestyle . Eat well-

1. Repetitive wrist and hand motions,
like typing especially when the hand is
lower than the wrist.
