PERSONAL REFLECTION: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LIFESTYLE CHOICES
AND PERSONAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Lifestyle is the way in which a person or a group live and is influenced by specific geographical,
economic, political, cultural, and religious aspects (Farhud, 2015). In recent times, lifestyle has
become and important factor of health that has gained increasingly more traction in the medical
and psychological fields. According to WHO, 60% of related factors to individual health and
quality of life are correlated to lifestyle (Ziglio et al, 2004); as a result, the relationship between
lifestyle and personal health and well-being must be carefully considered.
In this assignment, you will read the “Impact of lifestyle on health” by Farhud, 2015, the nursing
reflection, and any other resources that you choose, to create your own reflection on how your
lifestyle choices influence your personal health and well being. You should use the reflection
example as your template.
Requirements:

Describe the importance of making proper lifestyle choices and how these can affect
one’s personal health and well-being (a paragraph of no more than 5 sentences).
Describe 3 lifestyle choices (no more than 3-4 sentences per choice) that you believe are
having a negative impact on your personal health and well-being. Make sure you describe
how you believe these choices are impacting you.
For each issue, describe 3 strategies that you can adopt to resolve each of the issues you
have mentioned (no more than 3-4 sentences per strategy).
After completing the above requirements, develop a wellness action plan based on your
choices and strategies to resolve them. Use the following template for the plan.

issues and solutions mentioned in the
reflection.
