DYLAN‘S LIFE
• born Robert Allen Zimmerman
in Duluth, 1941, to Jewish parents
• he became a big Christian
• he left college, moved to New York
and legally changed his name
to Robert Dylan in the early 60s
• one of the first Dylan‘s loves was the
artist Joan Baez, who remained an
important person through his whole life
• Dylan had a motorcycle accident
in 1966, which had a drastic impact
on his life

MUSICAL CAREER
• Dylan began his musical journey as a folk
singer-songwriter
• later, Dylan moved away from the folk movement and
started playing rock, he also came across many other
genres, mainly traditional pop, country and gospel
• with his lyrics, he heavily influenced many other artists,
including The Beatles
• throughout his career, he released 39 studio albums
and wrote more than 600 songs
• Dylan won 11 Grammy Awards, was awarded the Medal
of Freedom and in 2016 the Nobel Prize in Literature
