Build a parabolic bridge model using popsicle sticks Investigate and analyze equation of parabola both algebraically and graphically. Materials: Popsicle sticks (undyed) Elmer’s Glue Clothes clip Scissors or Cutter Ruler, Compass etc. Pencil & eraser White Cartolina Required: Bridge model at least 80 𝑐𝑚 long, 16 𝑐𝑚 wide, and 36 𝑐𝑚 high. A detailed perspective drawing of the bridge model (top view, side view, 3D or isometric view) on a white cartolina. Compilation of the following in a white short paper folder: a. Narrative report b. The class shall be divided into four (4) group composing of 10 members. Each team must have three (3) sub-teams namely: Engineering, Architecture, and Construction & a group leader. {The Engineering team is responsible for finding the equation of the parabola of the bridge likewise Architecture team for detailed perspective drawing, and Construction team for building the bridge model.} Decide a design for your bridge model, it should have parabola as its feature/s. Use only Popsicle sticks and other wooden materials (*Elmer’s glue as adhesives) in building the bridge. Clothes clips will be used to fasten the sticks to dry.
