2021 SUMMER PICKLEBALL PROGRAM CITY OF TUCKER June 1 – July 31st Locations: Tucker Recreation Center (TRC) Rosenfeld Park (RP) ADULT INTERMEDIATE CLINIC Skill development on techniques as well as drills to help improve every area of the court. Prior experience with shots, strokes, and scoring knowledge. $18/CLASS Thursdays: 10:00-11:00AM (RP) Saturdays: 10:00-11:00AM (TRC) ADULT BEGINNER CLINIC Learn the basic skills, rules, scoring, court positioning, and basic strategies. $18/CLASS Wednesdays: 9:00-10:00AM (RP) Saturdays: 9:00-10:00AM (TRC) ADULT ORGANIZED PLAY DAYS Supervised play with players progressing up the ladder, depending on play results. Meet and socialize with new players in a fun environment. $15/SESSION Thursdays: 6:00-8:00PM (TRC) Fridays: 5:00-7:00PM (TRC) Saturdays: 12:00-2:00PM (TRC) JUNIOR PICKLEBALL Junior Beginner Class: $18/CLASS Saturdays 11:00A-12:00P (TRC) This is for students from beginner level from ages 6-10 years old. This is a fun and successful way for students to learn to play pickleball. It is designed to bring kids to the game by developing important skills all tailored to the age, size and skill of the student. Students will learn basic technique, strategy and tactics. It will prepares kids for match-play. Junior Academy: $27/CLASS Saturdays 12:00P-1:30PM (TRC) This is for beginner to intermediate students ages 9-16 years old. These players will develop basic to moderate/advanced technique and rally skills. They will learn how to start a point and technical fundamentals. Players will learn to play a rally starting with proper serve, control direction, depth and spin from the baseline, and play all parts of the court including midcourt and net with proper grips, footwork and fundamentals. PICKLEBALL EVENTS Round Robins: $15 Saturday @ RP June 5 6-8PM Saturday @RP June 19 6-8PM Saturday @RP July 31 6-8PM PRIVATE AND GROUP LESSONS Recommended for players, partners, or groups looking for individual instruction. Concentrated on technique, strategy, and areas dictated by the player(s). These are be scheduled at the player(s) desired time.
