In laboratory type function generator, generally one of the function (sine, triangle, etc.) is generated using dedicated chips or standard circuits and converts it in to required signal. LITERATURE SURVEY We made the circuit such that the output is 1KHz. If we want to change the frequency, we can do so by changing the value of capacitance, C1, in the square wave generator. And if we want to change the amplitude, we need to change the resistance values in the amplifier portion of the circuit. SUMMARY OF LITERATURE SURVEY Function generators are used in the development, test and repair of electronic equipment. For example, they may be used as a signal source to test amplifiers or to introduce an error signal into a control loop. Function generators are primarily used for working with analog circuits, related pulse generators are primarily used for working with digital circuits. PROBLEM STATEMENT Lab testing in identifying different types of waves Cheapest way to make it as the function generator costs more expensive OBJECTIVES 1. To build a function generator capable of generating square, triangle, and sine waves. 2. The frequency and amplitude of these waves will be controlled through potentiometers. 3. There will be some frequency analysis to aid in the understanding of Laplace transforms, Bode plots, and Fourier series. 4. Finally, the function generator will be connected to the stereo amplifier constructed to listen to the generated waveforms through a speaker.
